Proudly collecting ‘hat tips’ from our beef customers since 2011!
Plan ‘A’?
It was always to raise our own cattle and deliver the best-tasting beef possible to our customers.
Everything else that has grown from that original dream – the Market, press features, speaking, farm tours, and events. ← All of that has been icing on the cake. Or butter on top of the steak … if you’re into beef puns (which we absolutely are!).
But every now and then, we try on a few other ‘hats’ too.
We’re immensely grateful for the people who share our passions and have helped spread the word on all our endeavors.
We’ve been honored to share parts of our story with over twenty publications (and counting!)
Here are a few highlights to help you know our beef and our Market even better.
Ag Update
“Food is something that unites a community. Purchasing local not only helps farmers but all the services that contribute to the farm that help them raise those products.”
Charles City Press
“If you’re looking to order in bulk or just get dinner for your family, we’ve got options for both of those,” said Cunningham. “There’s a lot of ways to invest in a cut of beef and stretch that grocery dollar.”
Iowa Farm Bureau
“If you’re not telling your story, others are going to tell it for you. And if you don’t understand how (policy) affects you, then you may be regulated in a way that negatively affects your farm," Cunningham says. "Your story has a lot of power, and it’s only yours to tell. So it’s important that you make your voice heard."
Iowa Farmer Today
“The couple received a grant from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and worked with ISU Extension to create a ‘food hub’ that includes pork, poultry, and eggs sourced from other area farms, as well as their direct-to-consumer beef.”
Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers
“We welcomed a new son into the operation in 2020. We wanted to create a space for him, so in order to grow, we decided it needed to be a barn in order to mitigate the challenges of finding pasture. Calving under roof has been a really great addition to our farm and allowed us to keep growing.”
Farm News
“Because there wasn’t an FFA chapter in their school district and there hadn’t been one since the ’60s, Cunningham decided to help interested parents and students start one.
Within nine months, they had raised $400,000 to sustain the program for the first five years.”
Iowa Farm Bureau
“It was April 19, 2020, and as she checked her voicemail that morning, she found it flooded with messages requesting their Skyview Farms premium all-natural Angus beef. And then came more phone calls.
‘In a matter of three days, I had sold everything I had for inventory and bookings for the rest of 2020 and six months into 2021,’ Laura said.
‘Supply chain shortages had reached our local grocery stores.’”
