– Amanda V. Iowa Farm Bureau Business Development Manager
Laura Cunningham is a wife, mother, and third-generation cattle producer, deeply committed to her local agriculture community.
She and her husband, Aaron, own SkyView Farm, Skyview Market, and SkyView Beef in Nora Springs, IA. Together, they raise their herd of naturally-raised Angus beef and sell direct to local consumers.
For Laura, beef production is about more than just food—it’s about family, tradition, and creating a future her children and grandchildren will be proud to continue.
A graduate of Iowa State University, Laura is an accomplished speaker, an award-winning advocate in the ag industry—including a 2022 Women Impacting Ag Honoree, and passionate about mentoring fellow producers and future generations.
She is also the proud granddaughter of Les Ausen, whose legacy in ag education inspired her to launch the Central Springs AgEd Boosters, a 501c3 that raised enough to fund a new local FFA chapter for the first five years.

For over 14 years, we’ve sold our SkyView Beef to local consumers.
In this talk, I share insights on everything we’ve learned about building demand and connecting food products to the local market. From understanding consumer preferences to effective marketing strategies, I’ll cover the key steps to gaining traction in your community.
Aaron and I started with a deep commitment to quality, from selecting the right genetics to ensuring prime-grade beef.
In this presentation, I’ll share our journey, including the care we take in choosing maternal traits, the quality feed we provide, and the attention to detail in our feed yard. Your audience will leave with a clear understanding of the high standards that go into producing restaurant-quality beef.
Every generation of farmers faces its own unique challenges, yet they leave behind invaluable takeaways and wisdom for the next.
The most impactful lessons I’ve learned have come from those who did this work before me. This talk brings together generations of farmers, highlighting their guidance and sharing the stories that carry our legacy forward.
